Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Group Sustainability Lead to spearhead and uphold our sustainability initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring the Group operates with environmental integrity and meets our sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance the existing sustainability strategy.
- Track progress towards sustainability targets and conduct regular assessments.
- Integrate sustainable practices into business operations to achieve targets.
- Engage with customers, suppliers, and community partners to promote sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and standards (Origin Green, EPA, Repak, CSRD).
- Prepare and ensure compliance with reports for environmental agencies and government bodies.
- Maintain and update Key Performance Metrics.
- Stay updated on sustainability trends, policies, and best practices.
- Research and recommend technologies and strategies to enhance sustainability.
- Represent the organisation at events, enhancing Country Crest and Ballymaguire Foods’ sustainability profile.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sustainability.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of ESG principles and reporting standards.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in researching, analysing, and articulating information to stakeholders.
- Proficient in data analysis and Microsoft Excel/Query, PowerPoint, Power BI.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills for reporting and presentations.
Working Conditions:
- Office setting with regular interaction on the production floor.
- Occasional travel to meet with stakeholders and attend sustainability events.
